Incline Belt Conveyors
Due to the nature of incline applications customers must give thought to the products been transported, how the conveyor is to be loaded and maximum angles. As a conveyor module, Transportecnic can manufacture belt conveyors to your dimensional specification. However, especially manually loaded / unloaded conveyors, provision must be made to manual handling detail. i.e what a person call lift. Every application is different. A risk assessment must be carries out on an installed system, to ensure the overall process is safe, operators are trained and additional guarding is mounted within the area. Thought must be given to products been conveyed and how the conveyor us used.
Normally based on the slider belt bed incline conveyor, PVC stands are welded to the conveyor belt to help support the product been conveyed. Higher angles are achievable on these types of belts rather then a standard drip top belt. Dependent in the size of the product and the height of the flight. Note : This option is not to be used for manual loading.
Roller belt conveyors are basically a gravity roller conveyor with large end rollers that have an endlessly looped belt around them. These are capable of higher loads then the slider bed type due to the low friction between the belt and rollers. Smaller drive sizes are required to more larger loads. Fitted with a grip face belt these conveyors can be inclined to a maximum or 30 degrees. Note : products should not be stopped on incline belts, this option is used when budget is paramount.
Using sheet metal frame with rollers at either end. The belt slides across the solid metal frame, giving it the name slider bed. The steel bed makes for an inexpensive quiet conveyor that is easy to install. A slider bed conveyor is suitable for light to medium loads. Fitted with a grip face belt, slider bed incline conveyors can incline up to 30 degrees, depending on the products been conveyed. Note : products should not be stopped on incline belts
