Standard conveyors could not deliver the required dwell time, airflow control, or automation. Our team designed a custom solution to meet the customer’s exact requirements.
Forced-Air Cooling Using a Driven Roller Conveyor
The finished system is a driven roller conveyor housed within a fully enclosed cooling tunnel. Products move smoothly through the conveyor while large industrial fans generate high-volume airflow across each item.
This airflow removes heat evenly and supports effective surface drying. The controlled travel speed ensures consistent cooling without manual handling or unnecessary line extensions.
Precision rollers deliver smooth, low-noise operation. A stainless steel frame provides strength, hygiene, and long-term durability in an industrial environment.
PEC Sensor Automation for Reliable Control
This conveyor uses PEC sensors with reflectors at both the infeed and outfeed. These sensors control the conveyor and fans automatically based on product presence.
When a product enters the conveyor, the infeed PEC sensor starts the rollers and cooling fans. A timed cycle begins immediately. Each time the sensor beam is covered, the timer resets to maintain correct dwell time.
At the outfeed, a second PEC sensor stops the conveyor and activates an Andon light. This alerts operators that the product is ready for removal. An override button allows manual control when required.
