Mezzanine Belt Conveyors from a Trusted UK Manufacturer

Our mezzanine belt conveyors are designed to move products efficiently between floor levels, providing a safe and reliable solution for transporting goods to and from mezzanine areas. As a specialist type of belt conveyor, each system is manufactured to suit your exact layout, product size, and operational requirements.

Conveyor Systems is a UK manufacturer with over 30 years of experience in designing and producing high-quality conveyor equipment. Whether you need a standalone mezzanine conveyor or a system integrated into a wider conveyor setup, we build solutions for smooth handling of both uniform and non-uniform loads. All mezzanine belt conveyors are made using durable components, tailored to your application, and fully UKCA or CE marked.

What are Mezzanine Belt Conveyors?

A mezzanine conveyor is a purpose-built conveyor system designed to move products efficiently between floor levels, typically connecting ground operations to mezzanine areas. At SPG Conveyor Systems, these conveyors are engineered not just for movement, but for seamless integration into your workspace—helping you maximise vertical space without disrupting your existing process.

Unlike standard conveyors, a mezzanine conveyor is tailored around your building layout, floor height, and the type of products you handle. They are widely used across warehouses, manufacturing environments, and fulfilment operations where safe, controlled movement between levels is essential. Designed for both uniform and irregular loads, they provide a smooth and reliable transfer while reducing manual handling and improving overall efficiency.

At SPG, we manufacture:

Standard build – a practical solution for common mezzanine applications with efficient lead times and straightforward installation.

Custom-built – fully bespoke mezzanine conveyor systems designed around your exact space, product flow, and operational requirements.

In any case, whether you need a compact solution for light-duty use or a heavy-duty system for continuous industrial handling, every mezzanine belt conveyor we produce is built to suit your workflow, not the other way around.

Mezzanine Conveyor Layout

The normal layout of a mezzanine belt conveyor is dependent on the products being conveyed and whether you require items to travel in both directions.

Normally for both, you would use a horizontal conveyor at the bottom as this allows the product to be conveyed smoothly on and off the incline section.

Mezzanine Conveyor Construction

Motor: The motor type is dependent on the conveyor length and direction of travel. These types of belt conveyors have will have either an end roller drive or an underslung centre drive. The motor on this type of incline conveyor should always have a brake fitted – or if only used for uphill conveying, a backstop. Both of these are to stop the conveyor from rolling backwards if the stop button is pressed.

Belt: The normal belt on a mezzanine conveyor is either a rubber or PVC Gripface belt to give increased friction which keeps the product in place on the conveyor.

Frame: This is manufactured from folded and fabricated mild steel. The slider bed and side guides are designed to be robust to enable the product to stay on the conveyor.
